Cognitionis is a joint venture between seasoned healthcare executive Alan Murray,
and the market-leading healthcare advisory firm, the Marwood Group.
Walt Breakell serves as Executive Vice President at Marwood Group, working with financial sponsors and healthcare corporations in analyzing regulatory and legislative issues, performing market analysis, and developing corporate strategy. Before joining Marwood in 2007 Walt spent a decade working in public affairs. He was educated at Amherst College where he graduated with honors and New York University’s Stern School of Business.
John Harris runs the Financial Advisory practice at Marwood Group. Over a 25-year investment banking career, John has advised early stage, middle market, and Fortune 100 healthcare companies on over $50B of M&A and financing transactions. While at Marwood, John has advised companies in evaluating and executing strategic alternatives in a variety of healthcare sectors, including managed care; healthcare technology; and acute, post-acute, and ambulatory care. Prior to joining Marwood Group, John was a Director in the Healthcare and M&A investment banking groups at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He graduated Georgetown University magna cum laude with a B.S. in Finance and International Business.
Mohit (Moe) Kirpalani is a Founder and Partner at The Group Ventures, bringing over 30 years of entrepreneurship and business development experience. A Computer Technologist by qualification he began his career at a computer manufacturer in India Corporate Sales head and grew it to a few 100 million dollars. He has extensive experience in retail /brand strategy / manufacturing and product design. Moe is also on the board of TiE and on the Innovation Board of MS hospital and is an advisor to 8 other companies in the Fintech and Blockchain sector in various geographies globally.
